A road on which drivers have priority when passing through uncontrolled intersections. The sign is placed at the start of the road and repeated immediately before each intersection. Sign 2.1 with plate 8.13 is placed in built-up areas before the intersection at which the priority road changes direction, outside built-up areas − in advance, 150−300 metres before the intersection, and before the intersection.
The end of the section of road from which it loses the status of a priority road. If the priority road ends before a crossing with a road that has priority at that intersection, sign 2.2 is placed outside built-up areas in advance together with sign 2.4, in built-up areas − 25 metres from the intersection and/or together with sign 2.3 or 2.4. The sign may also be placed at another distance indicated on plate 8.1.1.
The driver travelling on the road where this sign is placed must give way to drivers travelling on the intersecting road, and, where plate 8.13 is present, to drivers travelling on the main road. Outside built-up areas, sign 2.3 is placed in advance, 150−300 metres before the intersection, with plate 8.1.1 if sign 2.3 is placed before the intersection, or with plate 8.1.2 if sign 2.4 is placed before the intersection. The sign applies to the intersection of carriageways in front of which the relevant sign is placed.
Prohibits the driver from proceeding without stopping before the “STOP” line, or, if there is none, before the edge of the intersecting carriageway. The driver must give way to drivers travelling on the intersecting road, and, where plate 8.13 is present, to drivers travelling on the main road. The sign is placed where visibility of vehicles travelling on the intersecting road is not ensured. It may also be placed before a level crossing or a quarantine checkpoint (in this case the driver must stop before the “STOP” line, or, if there is none, before the sign). The sign applies to the intersection of carriageways in front of which the relevant sign is placed
Prohibits the driver from entering a narrow section of road if this would obstruct traffic in the opposite direction. The driver must give way to an oncoming vehicle that is at the opposite approach or on the narrow section of road. The sign is placed immediately before the narrow section of road or in advance, with plate 8.1.1.
Gives the driver priority over vehicles travelling in the opposite direction when driving on a narrow section of road. The sign is placed immediately before the narrow section of road.
